Windmill Warriors
Todays ‘Re-hash Your Stash’ focus is on our A5 Stamp set ‘Windmill Warriors’, originally released in October 2021.
This stamp set was designed to create a fun windmill image with cute animals hanging off the blades, however there are so many other ways to use this set. In this blog we hope to inspire you to look beyond the obvious uses of your stamps and to help you to create fresh new makes from your existing sets.
Check out our video below for a tutorial on how to take a new approach to our Windmill Warriors set. Tracey also shows you her ‘no line colouring’ techniques and goes into details about her ‘go to’ products.

If you’re reading this then it must mean our new website is live… welcome, we have lots of exciting news to share!
For several months now we have been looking at many aspects of the business and trying to decide how best to take things forward. As many of you know, our main business is in fact farming alpacas and “Alpaca Pals” started as a way of “scratching the creative itch”, so to speak, whilst obviously complementing what we were doing on farm too. Whilst the alpacas continue to be at the heart of what we do, and you will continue to see them feature in our products, we felt that the time was right to re-align the brand. We have almost 200 stamp sets in our range now, alongside papers, stencils & washi tape, and we are grateful that people like our products enough to keep the creative dream alive!
So, with this in mind and as our beautiful new website shows, we will now be found at “traceyhey.com”. You may have already noticed that our social media accounts have transitioned to reflect this change and we can now be found as Tracey Hey Designs on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & TikTok.
We also decided that after over five and a half years of creating all of our own samples; for new releases, TV shows and general inspiration, that it was time we began to accept the very generous and expert help of a Design Team. If you know me, you know that this didn’t come easy(!!) however as soon as we decided this was going to happen, I instantly knew who I wanted to ask to join us – thankfully Dee, Melissa & Kassi all agreed and so we now officially have a very small but very talented Design Team.
Over the past year, as I’m sure many of you are aware, I have had the pleasure of joining forces with Lisa Horton to design some collections for her – to date there has been two releases and there are others in development. I’m so pleased that Lisa gave me the opportunity to design for her and the response I have had from people about the collections has been nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait for future collections to be launched and hope you all continue to enjoy my designs being paired up with the quality products that Lisa is renowned for. You can find the full details of the two launches to date on the collaborations page of this website.
With regard to our own range, we have an array of new stamp designs, new paper pads and new stencils to bring you and we hope to also add some extra products to the range going forward aswell. We are so super excited to share our designs with you as we launch them over the coming days, weeks & months.
We are also very conscious that as much as everyone loves new products, it is also really important that you get value for money from the products you have already bought from us over the years and that we inspire people to use what’s in their stash. There are still so many ideas that i’ve yet to try using stamps from our very first release in June 2018, so we will soon be launching a super exciting blog series that will re-visit our older stamp sets, showing you how you can use them and showing inspiration that you can continue to access on the website afterwards. More to come on this in the coming days.
We also recognise that some people struggle to find inspiration some days, so we will be attempting to help people find their crafty mojo by providing some colour related challenges. Again, we will provide full details of this very soon.
To date we have mainly used our YouTube channel to preview the new releases however we will be adding more videos in the form of some demonstrations, i.e. colouring, techniques etc. If there is anything you would particularly like to see, please do let us know and we will add to the list where possible.
For those of you that have previously ordered from us, you will be aware that we pop a collectors list in with you order when it is shipped. This isn’t to try and suggest you should collect all of the sets, it is simply to try and prevent you from ordering the same set twice in error. You will now find an electronic version of this that you can download and print at your convenience from the website – see the bottom of the home page for the link.
We will be back in due course to share full details of the above mentioned initiatives, along with others along the way, however, in the meantime, we hope you like our new website and we look forward to continuing our creative journey with you all.
